Therefore, VAT is never calculated on BPM. To determine the amount of VAT to be charged on the sale of a used motor vehicle by a business, the remaining BPM (residual BPM) must be extracted from the selling price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This residual BPM is calculated by subtracting the depreciation percentage of the BPM that belongs to the used motor vehicle from the original BPM paid, taken from the depreciation table (with a maximum of 90%). The remaining part of the BPM may be deducted from the reimbursement for the calculation of the VAT due.
