One-day insurance

Je aanvraag wordt op werkdagen tijdens kantooruren (09:00 – 16:00 uur) verwerkt. Je bent verzekerd vanaf het moment dat je de polis per e-mail ontvangt. De eendagsverzekering (groene kaart) heeft een standaard geldigheidsduur van 1 dag, ingaande vanaf de gewenste startdatum. Het is belangrijk op te merken dat dit alleen geldt voor een 1-dag kenteken dat bij de RDW is aangevraagd. VWE behoudt zich het recht voor om de Groene kaart te ontbinden indien blijkt dat deze onterecht is aangevraagd.

Why take out one-day car insurance?

Have you purchased and imported your dream car from abroad? Then the vehicle must first be inspected by the RDW (Netherlands Vehicle Authority) before it is allowed on the road. You need to make an appointment on the RDW website and then apply for a one-day registration number. At this point, it is important to arrange car insurance for the day of inspection. You need an international insurance certificate for the car — even if it is only insured for one day.

Some insurers offer free insurance, but only if you also take out your permanent registration insurance with them. But is that really in your best interest? Surely, you want the freedom to choose your own car insurance provider?

Is my car eligible for one-day car insurance?

In collaboration with a.s.r., VWE offers one-day insurance for your car. For just €60.50 (including insurance tax), you take out third-party liability (WA) insurance valid for the day of inspection. This gives you the freedom to choose your permanent car insurance yourself, potentially saving more on your premium.
