Looking for a way to reclaim the remaining BPM when exporting a vehicle? You’ve come to the right place! With the calculator below, you can instantly determine the remaining BPM amount. This way, you’ll immediately know how much you may be able to reclaim from the Dutch Tax Authority.
For passenger cars, vans, or motorcycles, it is often possible to reclaim remaining BPM upon export.
Conditions for BPM refund on a vehicle previously registered in the Netherlands:
- The vehicle must have been registered in the Netherlands on or after October 16, 2006.
- The vehicle must be registered with the RDW with the status “Export.”
- The vehicle may not be intended for scrap or awaiting inspection.
- The vehicle must not be classified as a damaged vehicle.
- The vehicle must have been transferred to another EU member state or an EEA country (Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway) and registered there. (Source: Belastingdienst)
